TONAWANDA USBC YOUTH POINTS SYSTEM

We will be doing away with the mandatory all events participation for scholarship winnings and instituting a youth points system as outlined below!

The top 5 male and female bowlers per division at the completion of the association’s youth team, doubles and singles events will be invited to compete in our fifth and final tournament of the season for even more scholarship winnings.

Division average breakdown is as follows:

How are points awarded?
Points will only be awarded in the Tonawanda Youth Team, Doubles and Singles events.

There will be 1 point for participation in each tournament.

Top 10 finishers in each tournament will receive points as follows per division:

  • 1st place – 10 points
  • 2nd place – 9 points
  • 3rd place – 8 points
  • 4th place – 7 points
  • 5th place – 6 points
  • 6th place – 5 points
  • 7th place – 4 points
  • 8th place – 3 points
  • 9th place – 2 points
  • 10th place – 1 points
  • 300 game – 5 points
  • 11 in a row – 4 points
  • 250+ scratch game – 4 points
  • 75 pins over average scratch game – 3 points
  • 50 pins over average scratch game – 2 points
  • 25 pins over average scratch game – 1 point
  • 2 additional points for participating in all 3 Tonawanda Youth Tournaments (Youth Team, Youth Doubles and Youth Singles)
  • Ties in points will be broken by finding the bowlers overall average for all events bowled for final tournament invitations or per event for awarding of points.
