The Tonawandas USBC Association held its 33rd annual Senior Masters tournament at Classic Lanes on Sunday November 4, 2018. The scratch event featured some the area's best bowlers ages 50 and over. All 33 participants bowled a three-game qualifier, after which the field was cut to the top ten for eliminator-style finals matches. Three super seniors (ages 65 or over) qualified as part of the ten taken for match play.

The qualifying round resulted in Mike Zarcone leading the way with a three-game set for 788. The remaining spots for the finals were taken by Ken Michaels (771), Dan Eberl (742), Michael Nowak (723), Gary Kinyon (722), Tom Meaney (300-705), John Lagree (705), Eric Maundrell (702) and Chuck Jagodzinski (689). Chuck defeated Michael Noakes in a 9th & 10th frame roll off for the last spot.

In the first match of the first round, Gary Kinyon (290), Mike Zarcone (289) and Ken Michaels (237) advanced over Chuck Jagodzinski (203) & Edwards Abbott (188). In the second first round match, Michael Nowak (266), Dan Eberl (213) and Eric Maundrell (190) advanced over Tom Meaney (178) & John Lagree (170).

In the first match of the second round, Dan Eberl (256) and Ken Michaels (206) advanced over Gary Kinyon (204). In the second match of the second round, Mike Zarcone (256) and Michael Nowak (209) advanced over Eric Maundrell (192).

The third round resulted in Mike Zarcone (257) and Michael Nowak (222) eliminating Ken Michaels (202) and Dan Eberl (184).

In the championship match, Mike Zarcone (258) outlasted Michael Nowak (234) to claim the championship.
